Frequency Sharing Agreement 2009
This Frequency sharing agreement is a statement of record between the
Lancaster Area Soaring Society (AMA#1178) and The Manheim Flying Tigers
(AMA#3675) . Due to their close proximity and in the interest of preserving
the safety of aeromodeling, both clubs mutually agree to divide the channels of
the 72Mhz aircraft and applicable HAM band as follows and to use only the listed
channels at their respective sites. (for LASS members this applies to the
Knoll farm {Chicken Field} ,the Junction Road Field, Carpenter Field, Root's
Market Field and any newly assigned site within 3 miles of The Manheim Flying
Tigers site @ Auction Road).

It is also agreed upon that the
Manheim club is to receive up to
four (4) additional channels if and when a LASS member no longer claims them.
This will achieve a 50-50 split between the two clubs. It will be the
responsibility of the Manheim's presiding officer to inquire on an annual basis
(January)
if any additional channels have become available and this document will be
amended as needed.
It is further agreed upon that for LASS monthly
contests (normally
held on the 3rd Saturday of the month) the Manheim field will cease R/C radio
operation from noon until 5 PM , and that when LASS hosts an ESL (Eastern
Soaring
League) contest, (usually once per year) the Manheim club will cease R/C radio
operation from 8 AM until 5 PM on both days of the contest (Saturday and
Sunday). If
the LASS monthly club contest is not held on the scheduled Saturday due to
adverse weather it will be held on Sunday of the same weekend.
The two undersigned current officers agree to , on
behalf of their
respective club members to the above conditions and that this agreement will
remain in effect as long as both clubs remain at their present sites, or at
locations within the accepted radius of safety. This document will also be
updated yearly and sent to the AMA as required by their policy.
